NebuAd Announces Series B Funding Totaling Over $30 Million in Investments

Premier Investors Sierra Ventures and Menlo Ventures Fund Innovative Behavioral Targeting Network

September 25, 2007

REDWOOD CITY, CA - September 25, 2007 - NebuAd, Inc., provider of the first consumer-centric behavioral targeting network for the online advertising industry, today announced a Series B round of investment bringing the total funding raised by the company to over $30 million. Existing investor Menlo Ventures was joined by Sierra Ventures in NebuAd’s Series B round of investment. NebuAd will use the investment to fund the company’s acceleration into the $20 billion online advertising market.

NebuAd is changing the dynamics of online advertising. The company’s unique patent-pending technology and Internet Service Provider (ISP) partnerships create the first truly consumer-centric behavioral targeting network. NebuAd observes and analyzes web-wide consumer activity to derive a richer set of consumer interests, and matches those interests with the most relevant ads, served at the right time. This innovative approach to behavioral targeting combines comprehensive consumer visibility with micro-targeted ads delivered at the right time in the buying cycle. Dedicated to industry-leading standards in the protection of consumer privacy, NebuAd’s network was designed from the ground up to meet industry best-practices regarding consumer information privacy and protection, including consumer notification, and does not collect any personally identifiable information.

"NebuAd’s unique approach to behavioral targeting delivers a unique combination of scale and relevance, which means more conversions and greater revenue potential," said Tim Guleri, Managing Director at Sierra Ventures. "This model will transform the market – we are very excited about the NebuAd opportunity."

"NebuAd is well positioned to capitalize on the growth in the online advertising market," said Sonja Hoel Perkins, Managing Director at Menlo Ventures. "They have a strong management team with the right experience, a unique approach to the market, and a highly differentiated product offering – the result will be a revolutionary improvement in behavioral advertising."

"We are very pleased to have these two premier investors on board as we continue to build out our network and products," said Robert Dykes, CEO of NebuAd. "We believe NebuAd will create a greater market opportunity for the entire online advertising ecosystem, including advertisers, publishers and ISPs."
